We handle appellate and post-decision matters involving civil and criminal cases, including review of trial court decisions, identification of legal error, and preparation of written briefs and motions. Attorney Sanchez’s background in judicial appellate clerkship and ongoing appellate work allows her to approach cases with a strong focus on written advocacy, legal analysis, and procedural precision.

Michelle Medrano Sanchez
Founding Attorney
Michelle is the proud daughter and granddaughter of Nicaraguan immigrants who came to the United States in search of opportunity and a better future. She grew up in Colorado in a hardworking, multigenerational household shaped by sacrifice, resilience, and determination. Her father worked as a mechanic, and her mother was a devoted homemaker. Together, they worked weekends at the Mile High Flea Market to provide for their family. Michelle began working alongside them at just 12 years old while also helping care for her younger siblings. From an early age, she learned that with limited resources, she would have to work twice as hard for every opportunity — and she did.
Those formative experiences, along with the sacrifices of her parents and grandparents, remain the foundation of her work and purpose. Their journey continues to fuel her deep commitment to helping others navigate complex legal systems with dignity and strong advocacy.
Michelle is also a wife, a mother, and a first-generation attorney. Balancing family life while pursuing her education and building her legal career required persistence, discipline, and sacrifice. These lived experiences allow her to connect deeply with her clients and understand the real-world impact that legal challenges have on individuals and families.
A Colorado-licensed attorney, Michelle brings extensive experience in complex legal research, writing, and advocacy. Her background includes judicial internships with the Colorado Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, as well as an enforcement internship with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission through its Honors Program, where she gained exposure to federal civil enforcement and criminal matters. She later served as a judicial appellate clerk, further strengthening her foundation in case analysis and appellate advocacy.
Her practice focuses on immigration law and criminal appellate and postconviction matters. Michelle represents clients navigating the immigration system and advocates for individuals seeking relief and opportunity in the United States. She also serves as appointed counsel through the Colorado Alternate Defense Counsel, representing indigent clients in criminal appeals and postconviction proceedings. This work involves meticulously reviewing trial records, identifying legal and procedural errors, and preparing persuasive written briefs and motions in appellate courts.
As a bilingual Spanish-speaking attorney, Michelle ensures her clients feel heard, informed, and empowered throughout their cases. She approaches every matter with compassion, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcome. Known as a zealous yet thoughtful advocate, she fights for her clients while guiding them with honesty and care.
For Michelle, the practice of law is more than a profession — it is a reflection of her family’s legacy, her community, and her dedication to serving others with integrity, respect, and purpose.
